The 96 Ranch 464.8 has acres of surface water license which allows the diversion of 628 Acre feet per annum of water from the South Saskatchewan River. This produces 3 tons of alfalfa and grass annually. There are also 1500 acres of cultivated ground used for raising a variety of cereal crops. Access to water from the South Saskatchewan river for irrigation use has been key to the success of the ranch.
Along with irrigation, investments have been made in water projects including gravity flow systems have been developed and expanded upon. These projects have allowed for more efficient grazing across pasture lands.
